Recently I was introduced to the cult known as Myspace. I only signed up as Lauren from work was very excited and wanted to create a SYR group where we could upload pictures and silly quotes from work. She even got a hold of the pictures of Sean, Michele and Kristen visiting and put them up. As well as the pictures of the creepy dog in one of the rooms. Apparently we have nothing better to do at work.

Anyways, since signing up for myspace I've felt like I have been periodically attending a high school reunion. It's a little scary and makes me realize that I never actually want to attend a real reunion. The other day I even was emailed by someone I knew in Middle School who apparently offeneded me last time I saw her even though I have no memory of this last meeting or what she possibly could have said to make me so angry that I cut off contact. I thought we just went to different schools......

I fluxtuate between being amused and horrified when someone contacts me via myspace. It's kinda fun to make contact with people you have not seen in a very long time but it is also some what terrifying when browsing through peoples profiles you see people who never thought you would see again and realize that you were glad about that fact, and then realize that if you can find them, they can find you.

Basically using myspace makes me feel awkward and 15 all over again. It's annoying. The fact that people who I have not seen in 10 years or more can still make me feel unsure of myself via the internet is insane.
