Driving around New Zealand has made me realize how much water there is in this country. First of all it's an island so obviously there is the whole ocean surrounding it, but then as you drive through the country there are lakes, fijords, rivers, creeks, streams, babbling brooks, waterfalls, glaciers, snow, ice, drips, and puddles.
Water, water everywhere. Michele has of course tried to submerge herself in all the water we stop at. Hwee!
Tomorrow we are again surrounding ourselves with water and seals! We're heading into the Abel Tasman National Park where we get to swim with seals. So EXCITED!
i hate you! i wanna swim with the seals! they're so cute. Mom and I went to the aquarium this weekend and saw their penguins and now i want one - so if you can, bring me back a penguin. do you think they can travel? :)
We jinxed ourselves. We didn't get to swim with the seals. It was too windy so the water got all cloudy. We got to see the seals, but alas no swimming with the seals. sigh.
curse andy and his cloudy water! pink elephants, my foot.
Pink elephants who hide in trees!
i thought they pooped on the trees and that's why they were all dead? though i didn't actually see any dead trees. or poo. though andy did seem convinced of it. though he also seemed convinced that there was some bird on tonga bay in the trees and i saw nothing. later it turned out to have been a duck. which really was a duck and not a not a duck at all. though there wasn't a duck. so i don't know what that means.
That will make no sense to anyone but me.....
